Questions about anime dubbing
Do you dub anime into Modern Standard Arabic?
Yes. Modern Standard Arabic gives you one version for every Arab market and is the usual choice for anime aimed at children and families. We also dub into Lebanese, Syrian, Egyptian, Iraqi and Moroccan Darija when a series is made for one audience.
How do you handle Japanese names, honorifics and jokes?
We decide early how each name, title and honorific will sound in Arabic and keep to it in every episode. Jokes and wordplay are rewritten so they land with Arab viewers, while still matching the lip movements on screen.
Can you adapt the opening and closing songs?
Yes. We adapt songs to be sung in Arabic, then record and mix them with the rest of the episode.
Do you review anime for Arab audiences?
Yes. Before recording, we review each episode for scenes, references and language that may not suit the region, and agree with you how to handle them.
Which anime have you dubbed into Arabic?
Our anime work includes Layton’s Detective Agency and Pikachin-Kit, alongside many animated series for children’s channels.
Can you take on a long-running series?
Yes. Eleven studios and eight editing suites in Beirut and Dubai give us the capacity for full seasons, and one team stays with your series from the first episode to the last.
What do you need from us for a quote?
The title, the number and length of episodes, the Arabic you have in mind and your delivery date. A link to a sample helps too. We reply within 24 hours with a dialect recommendation and a quote.
